Karl Hagan
He obtained a Degree in Fine Art Painting from the Ulster University in 2018. As a student he was awarded by the Royal Ulster Academy for his artistic merit. After his graduation both the university and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland recognised his exceptional talent and purchased his paintings for their permanent collections. He has extensively exhibited in Northern Ireland.
His paintings draw inspiration and evoke atrocities caused by conflicts and the use of dangerous weapons. In his captivating figurative or abstract works these atrocities are not explicitly represented, but are subtly evoked or even hinted, thus leaving the works open to different interpretations....
